| WHY IS MONA'S AGE IMPORTANT? It is the opinion of AWA, that Dr. Foster has exaggerated Mona's age in an effort to instill fear, in the citizens of Greater Birmingham, with regard to her transfer / retirement to The Elephant Sanctuary in TN. Therefore, it is important that you, citizens and stakeholders in Mona's welfare, know the truth. Mona can be safely moved to the sanctuary, to live in a natural habitat with other elephants, and heal from the habitat failures of the Birmingham Zoo. |
